RATE REDUCING SCHEME.
A SL'KI'HISA.\ PROBLEM. l)el«gale» repvisciiting the Elliot, I'iankley. and Carrington Road Districts met ill conference on Monday night for tin; purpose of discussing proposals for reducing the ratc b in tliese districts. The delegates were unanimously of opinion that the time was ripe when lelief from the increasing rates due lo the greatly increased valuations in thesa suburban districts should be s ouglit.
