ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
SUDDEN DEATHS. Per Press Association. AsMrarton, Last Night. At an inquest held this afternoon on the death of Susan Smith, who dbd suddenly on Saturday, the jury returned a verdict in accordance with medical testimony, that death was due to heart disease. Dunedin, Last Night. The police have received advice to the effect that Mrs. Gray, an old woman, resident in Dunedin, died suddenly to-day at Milton, where she had been 011 a visit. Auckland, Laut Night. A man named Amos dropped dead in (,>ueeii-slrcet this afternoon 011 his way to Onehunga to catch the New Plymouth boat. IK- is lielieved to have relatives in Wellington. SERIOUS FALL FROM A TRAIN. Dunedin, Last Night. A man named James McEnarney, a miner residing at Lawrence, was the victim of a serious accident on the railway about 7 o'clock last evening. He I was standing on the platform of a carriage of the express from the South, and as train crossed the points near the Dunedin station, it gave a swerve with the result that McEnarney overbalanced and fell off.
