PROPOSED LEGISLATION OUTLINED. Per Press Association. Rcefton, Lost Night. The Premier arrived in Keetton yesterday, and opened a, live and a-lwU mile section 01 Lhe Recfton-WcStport line, to Cronadon. In the evening, a large audience gave the Premier a most ■hearty reception. The Premier uealt with the land questions, pointing out the value vi the graduated land lax in breaking up large estates; the National Endowment Bill, providing funds for increasing purposes of education and old age pensions; the Land Bill, giving opportunity to all to settle on the land, and tile Native Land Bill, opening up vast areas of unoccupied laud. lie promised a corrollary of the Civil Service railway superannuation scheme for every worker. He stated that the Government intended lo amend the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. It was a piece of machinery which had done good work in the past, and which could J not be thrown aside. lie outlined legislation 011 the part of the Cabinet, by which the minority representative would be done away with, either by an absolute majority Bill or a second ballot. He strongly criticised critics who declared that the Government was going to pieces. Hearty votes of thanks and eon. udence were passed amidst enthusiasm.
