Mr. T. I'. Iluglisoii, of Ruholn, and Mi-. A. Wells, of I'uiiiho, also spoke in -iniilar strain, and referred to the pcr•.umil obligations they each ft-It- to our respected and Moved -choolmaster ami his wife.' -Mr. Wells, on Mialf of their manv friends in the district, presented Mr. and Mis- Cieiuance. who has ably assisted her father in both day and Sabbath „cho..ls. with two very arli-ti.-allv-bound ela-sical volumes. Devotional exercise, opened the proceeding-, and at the close (he audience joined in singing "Cod be with von till we meet again." A verv enjoyable and dainty supper na- handed round, during which "They arc .lollv Good Fellow-" was sung in heartv and orthodox fashion.
