BOMB-THROWING IN INDIA.
LADY AND COACHMAN KILLED. Calcutta. May 1. A bomb thrown into a carriage at Munffpore, Bengal, killed Miss Kennedy and- her coachman. Mrs. Kennedy was injured, and is in a precarious condition. AN INNOCENT VICTIM. BOMB INTENDED FOR A MAGISTRATE. Receive 3rd, 8.15 p.m. Calcutta, May 2. The bomb outrage at Muzaffarpnr occurred opposite the residence of Mr. Kingsford, district judge, who was recently acting as magistrate at Calcutta. Mr. Kingsford's life has frequently been threatened in connection with the late riot trials and the whipping sentences he had imposed. It is suspected that the bomb was intended for him. Mrs. Kennedv is the wife of a liarrister. BOMB FACTORY DISCOVERED. 20 ARRESTS MADE. Received 4th, 12.20 a.m. Calcutta. May 3. In connection with the outrage at Vnzaffapnr. a bomb factory has been disarmed in Calcutta. Twenty Bengalese were arrested, including some students and jonnrWts.
