Tm> whites named McLachlan am Gaskin, and about fifty colored men were drowned. He damage is mined at £IOOO. Altogether 200 boats' crews, aggre- • gating 2000 men, were affected*. Many are 'till missing. Some may lift re sheltered oil the coast. Arrangements have been made to :*earck for survivors.
