This thought connects itself with business affairs at the beginning of almost e v «ry new proposition, when the persons who have the starting 0/ it proceed on the theory that all that U n*ce»sary is to make a start somewhere and then keep working until the right result is attained. Everybody needs to remember that a wrong s tart is a serious drawback, if not a forerunner of ultimate failure. There U a right way to do evervthinsr that if right to do at all, and auc other way it, to say the least, 1.-s than the bett. This is often to be gained, not by making a start a. he fiifct point which suggests itself, b- • by considering all the ways of iu.: • .1 Mart which can be logically thought .. .~! theu considering the" relative merit, of these different ways, and the effects each would have 011 the ultimate result. When the most logical way has lioen jele- ted, if the logic is correct, the right nay ha* been found, and any other way cannot be as good. This 'fact is well understood by architects, who work out a complete plan of a building before the materials are ordered, whereas the opposite method resembles that of the builder who begins by buying quantities of ftone and steel, and then endeavors to make % building out of them.
