The Daily Chronicle states that the GhdUtor's men a*«crt that they received ftOB the liner ft fignal to go to port. The cruiser was then in her own water. She went hard to port, but the liner, instead of changing her direction, kept her course and so caused the collision. Witnesses who were on the liner saythat the cruiser was hugging the shore and went to port when she should have kept her course.
