LABOR IN POLITICS.
Melbourne, April 28.
At the Eight Hours' Day demonstration, Mr. Fuher, leader of the Federal Labor Party, declared that the party was too modest in its demands. Unions throughout the Commonwealth mast oak themselves at next election whether Federal Parliament should receive increased power to pass industrial legislation.
Mr. Prendergast declared that on ali questions affecting workers the Stales had given up their powers to the C'ommoawealth.
