SUTTON'S DEVON EAVER RYE, IT IS PERENNIAL AND IT'WILL NOT-ELN OUT. ! is nothing new about Sutton's Devon Caver it is ovar 100 years old. As Kyci-gi'iuy is lliii principal grass . it is vaj important that the greatest caution :.nd care bt exercised in securing seed wliicli will prove perenuiall and will nut run out. Kxpcriis proved tint seed saved by Sutton's, from their old _shirs, gives not only a grass whieli will last for ail e, but one which has easily a greater luerting value than all others. Jixaetly the same applies to this colony. The noted pastures in Poverty Bay and Hawke's Bay were all laid; down in this seed more than fifty years ago, and are as gooc to-day as they ever were; in fact, each year they improve. Also, there is no doubt whatever that the finest stands of Rye in Taranaki are those very old pastures which were sown down wi.li this old Devonshire seed in the early days by the Missionaries. It has held better than all the seeds sown and gathered in the colony. Although tae best Colonial Kye, even from Mission Stations, may die out in time, the Devon Eaver, brouga hern by tie missionaries some fifty years ago, though sown in man* different localities, remains in the ground today; this applies also to the same se.ed brought out by Devonshire families nearly forty years ?.go. Indeed, although Taranaki Soil is very reluctant to accept Colonial and the ordinary imported Kye seed, it has shown a remarkable liking for Suttoj's Devon 'Eaver. This is such a well-known fact amongst the more observant Taranaki farmers that we are pressed on all sides to get supplies from Sutton's of this seed. We i ivc sold out our first two shipments, and the third, comprising 20 !a.nks, has just arrived per Corinthic, A large quantity of this has been 'soot.cd for all parts of Taranaki by our shrewdest farmers who realise that a good sowing is as important as a good burn. The Rye all comes out in sealed tanks, thus preserving its vitality. P.S.—Don't, confuso Sutton's Devon on Eaver Rye Gra'ss Seed with other seed sold as imported English Perennial Rye—there is aa great a difference as between sunshine ana darkness. We guaranty satisfaction, and you have Sutton's name, which has been pre-eminent for 101 years, as a further warranty of satisfaction. REMEMBER-1T IS THE (>NL¥ TRUE PERENNIAL RYE. i f you wish we can also supply a prime sample of Colonial Rye, weighing Si\ha to the bushel, which cannot he beaten by any other Colo'* nial Rye on the market. Wo also stock:— Cowgrass. White Clover, Alsikc, Trefoil, Lotus Mnjor, Italian Rye, Meadow Foxtail, Crested Dogstail, Poa Pretensis, Poa Trivial, Timothy Cocksfoot ('prime, heavy, clean, Akaroa seed), and all other seeds. Write or wire us for samples. E. GRIFFITHS AND CO., SEEDSMEN, EGMONT STREET, HEW PLYMOUTH.
