There was a good demand for nil classes and consequently Lidding w.'s animated, laic prices being fully maintained.
At Klthain on the lllh there was al-o a heavy varding of cattle of a useful class, for which' there was a fair demaud. With the exception of a fewlines of IS-inonlh lo 3-yoar steers, which did not realise vendors' upsets, nearly everything was quitted.
At llawcra on the llilh. there was a full yarding of cattle, and sheep were also yarded in large numbers. There was a large attendance of buyers, and a fair demand for both cattle'anil sheep, most lines changing hands before leaving the yards. lln Monday, the Kith iiist.. we held a verv successful clearing sale on account •of Mrs. McSweeney, Mokoi.i. The cows were a good-conditioned lot, and considering the earliness of the -eason, sold well, realising from iM 2s lid to .CO ss. Weaners (mixed) brought Ills lid. year ling heifers 2Ss. farm horses (aged) up to Cl 3. l-'tirnituee and imple nts sold well.
During the week we also disposed ol Mr. .1. Weir's farm of lll'.i acres to Mr. a. C. O'Connell, at a sali-iaclory figure.
