The Stratford Post records the death of Mr. ratriek Kimride. of Finuertyload. Ngaire, which occurred on Sunday la»t. The late Mr. Kilbride wa» well known and esteemed in Canterbury, residing. as lie did, for many years at llalswell. Some two years ago Mr. Kilbride decided lo remove with his family t<> the North Island, and purchased a property iu Finnerty-road. For some months past the late Mr. Kilbride ha* Ihhmi in indillVreiit health, as the result, it is thought, oi a sunstroke. About a week ago a clot of blood formed on the brain, eventually causing death. Very great sympathy is felt with the widow and family of eight children—fiw girls and three boy—who are left to mourn ! their los-. Major d. B. lline. of the Stratford j Mounted Rilles. was invalided home from Wellington on .Monday, sulVering from a severe attack of pneumonia.
