Yesterday was a quiet holiday. Tlr beach was well patronised, and Severn I picnic juirties left for Mount Kgmont. There were the usual services in tne chuiyhe*. The New Plymouth and Fit/ roy Jiuw Clubs try conclusion* witti the Kl. John's (Wanyanui) Club. ('ll Easter Monday the principal local attraction is the Slur-Okalo footiiali ti.xturc un lUc laeeomi'be, A country excursion is being run to Atoturoa for a seaside picnic. Ihe other attractions are the liltkam Domain sports and football tounniineut ! (where the lukapa team compete), and' a similar gathering at Opunake. The popular Pa tea race meeting will, no doubt attract the large number of patrons from this end of the district. Inc Oddfellows have arranged a trip to the \orth JSgniont Mountain House lor the delectation of the delegates to the ttiemual L'oiu'creiice
