NO-LICENSE LEAGUE.

The annual meeting of the Taranaki No-License League was Mil in the Queen Street Primitive Methodist Church last night. There was a very hug.' attendance. Rev. J. Guy presided. Favourable reports of the last yeat » work were presented, and the balancesheet showed a credit balance. New officers were elected:— President. Rev. J. Uuy: secretary, Mr. W- Hig«'low; assistant secretary. Mr. ■;. illl Maunder; treasurer, Mr. T. Frcthcy. Lengthy discussions took place concerning the organisation of the district (or the forthcoming pollIt was decided, "that it be a recmnicndation from this league to all XuLieeu«e Councils and Leagues to make the Prince of Wale-' Birthday (.lime 3rd) a Xo-License niei'tiiig day thruughout the Dominion, and that copy of this resolution be sent to all league, ami councils.'' , , ~ The meetiug then adjourned to the schoolroom for harmony, "lieu Miss Dowling gave a violin selection and recited with great effect, •■The ISroUeii Jug.''
