CONCILIATION BOARD.

Per Press Association. Wanganui, Uist Night. The Conciliation Board sat this morning to hear the general laborers' dispute as affecting local bodies and eontractors. Employers, considering there, were no local demands for increa-ed wages, and therefore no dispute, did uoAippear, but several were subpoenaed by the Board and gave evidence. The chairman said that no matter whether th,. dispute affected local contractors, it originated in the Wellington Industrial District, and therefore had to be heard as affecting the wliole district. Several workers' representatives also gave evidence. The Board adjourned to Palmerston, and thereatter sits at other centres.
