A STABBING AFFRAY. Sydney, April 11. A scullerynmu named Richards, employed on the liner Somerset, was stabbed in the back by one Bear, the steerage cook. He bled to death in ten minutes.
A PECULIAR FATALITY.
Sydney, April 11. A girl named Selmes fell on a pail of scissors which she was carrying. Xhe f>int entered her body, and she died from the wound. ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER. Sydney, April 11. At Alexandria a man named De»p>v gens fired six shots at hi- wife, I>ut miwed her each tfnic. A policeman, coming ou the scene, tried to protect the woman. He fired tiro shots at Despogens and disabled him.
