CORRESPONDENCE.
STRATFORD MAYORALY.
To the Editor, sir,—l was rather surprised to lead a lota! in your issue of yesterday (copied from the Kltliam Argus) stating that "the Straford Jlavoraly this year is being fought on party lines-license '■>" license."' Such a statement has im loan dation in fact; at least, not as tar as the Stratford No-license League is concerned. That one of the candidates is a publican, and the other a N'o-license man, there id not the slightest doubt, but I have yet to learn that the candid ate opposed to the publican is a pronounced repre-enatiic <>( the .Vo-liceinc Party. I have been an e\ccuU\e member of the Stratford Nu-license League for over twelve months, and attended all the meetings with one or two exceptions, and the Stratford Mayoralty has never been discussed by the League in any way. I believe that at a meeting of Stratford citizens, convened by a prominent public inan, Mr. gangster agreed to contest the seat, and as a private citizen/ I wish him every sjuccess.r—Oß behalf of Stratford No-license League. 1 am, etc.. DAVID CAMPBELL.
