THE LISBON RIOTS. Lisbon, April 0. To revenge the action of the troops iu firing on tne crowd during the election riots, a man shot two soldiers dead in a Street at Lisbon at night. The assassin escaped. SEARCHING ENQUIRY OKDEKED. FIRING ON UNAI.iJEij CROWDS. SEVEN HUNDRED ARRESTS MADE. Received 10th, S.Sj p.m. Lisbon April 10. Cabinet has ordered a searching inquiry into the riots. The allegation is made that the municipal guard fired a volley in the unarmed crowds. The guard wounded live soldiers belonging to a detaelimnt inarching past Sun DominSquare, which was the scene of the > chief riot. ; It is slated that the guard there filed 170 shots, aiming generally at the ground. Seven hundred arrests have been made, including many of the proletariat, * • who were found to be iu possession of large sums of money. ,
