ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. James Burnett, a widower, aged 75, was found dead in bed at his residence at North-East Valley last night. Deceased, who was a laborer, had been in failing health for some time. Death is supposed to l>e due to weakness and Oil age.
Blenheim, Thursday
On Tuesday the scow Eunice was driven ashore in Pelorous Sound. A seaman named Spai'Son was drowned during the efforts made by the boat's crew to prevent the scow from capsizing.
Auckland, Thursday. James Kelly, contractor, was acrid ■ntiilly drowned at Whakatane.
