At a meeting of tin- Waiigauui Union '•n Satui'dav night a letter was received from the Waverley Cliil. a-king the I'nion to forward to the New Zealand Union the Waverley Club's application lor an alteration in boundaries to enable the Waverley Club to play mid -r i lie juri-dietion ol the Taranaki Union. It was rc.-olvcd that the letter tie received, and the club informed that the Union has mi jurisdiction, and docs not intend to move in the matter of allcing the boundaries. Strong indignation is expressed by memliers of the Waverley Club at the action of the Waugamii I'nion in blocking the transfer to Tar-i----naki. especially' after the Union had granted their permission and had telegraphed that they would raise no objection.— Patea Press.
