ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Wellington, Last Night. Fred. Anderson, a single man, was struck on the head by a coal basket while working on the steamer Waipu today. He was removed to the hospital for treatment.
Christchureh, Wednesday, The police have received information that a child of three years named Maininie Allen Eossiter, daughter of Richard Rossiter, of Cooper's Creek, near Oxford, died' from the effects of burns. The child was playing in the kitchen while her parents were out milking. She strayed near the fire, and her nightgown caught. The girl was severely burned before her cries attracted help.
