A STOCKBROKER'S FLIGHT. Melbourne, April 4. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a stockbroker on a charge of converting to his own use 401) 'Duulop rubber shares held by him as bailee for a lady. The broker has been missing since March 27. He has been struck oil the Stock Exchange roll. It is understood that large sums are involved.
QUEENSLAND POLITICS. Brisbane. April 4. The Royal assent has been given to the Constitution Act Amendment Rill. The announcement was received in the Assembly with Ministerial and Labor cheers.
COMPLAINT AGAINST POSTAL OFFICIALS. Melbourne, Spril I. In the Federal Senate Mr. Austin Chapman, Postmaster-General, made some strong remarks on the working of the post office by the Deputy Post mas-ters-General, who, he alleged, had not exercised their powers to a full extent. Members assailed Mr. Manger with questions on the subject during his remarks in the House of Representatives. He said there was n kick of co-operation which it was difficult to define, although one knew it »it, there.
