THE UI'ENSIMi BILL. Received April 2, 10.28 p.in. London, April 2. Mr. Cave on Monday mores the rejection oi the Licensing Hill, on the ground that it fails to promote temperance and violates the principle oi equity. Mr. Asquitb, Chancellor ot the Exchequer, addressing the London United liberal Association, said the Government accepted the challenge to the Licensing BilL The Government was quite prepared to face the clamor. He declared Oat gilt-edged securities had risen since ♦he Bill was introduced, showing thai the Internment's policy was not conlidered one of rapine and plunder.
