RELIGION IN SCHOOLS.
A REFERENDUM BILL DISCUSSED. Received April 1, 0.54 a.m. Brisbane, March 31. During a debut e on the second reading of the Religious Instruction Referendum Bill, Mr. Kidston said if it was a ■jucstion of teaching religion in State schools he would vote against the Bill, but as it was dimply a measure to allow electors to decide the matter, he would support it. He did not think it wa.s the duty of the State to give religious instruction.
