The London Chamber of Commerce unanimously protested against any modification by tho conference of the telegraphic service regulation applicable to code words, urging rather the removal of all restrictions respecting unpronounceability of code words so long as the words did not exceed ten letters, Mr. Charlton, chairman of the Council, said he believed the English Post Office contemplated no radical alteration —only the withdrawal of a small percentage of the code words, but the cable companies were pressing the Government to prevent tho loss of time and revenue resulting from the use of unpronounceable words-
