Received 27fch, 9.43 p.m. Brisbane, March 27. ♦ In reference to u recent cable, Mr Maxwell, director of the Sugar Bureau' says that there is nothing new in the statement _ that megoss is useable for paper-making. It was tried in LOuisi- ' ana years ago and he believed it proved too expensive. He ridiculed the idea that sugar cane could be profitably cultivated for megoss alone.
