Speaking to-day with Mferenee to the mooting with Kua, the Maori "prophet" Sir Joseph said that he declined to go up to Rua's encampment ii, the Urewera country as asked by Kua, but telegraphed that if he desired to see him he said he could do so when he (the Prime Minister) returned to Whakatanc. Kua journeyed to Whakatanc and the interview took place.
