It was decided to open the season on Saturday, 26th April. ] The chairman formally handed over } the challenge shield, won last year by . the Whakatika Hub, to the delegate representing the club. The secretary ' was instructed to write to the secretaries of affiliated clubs asking that their respective colors be duly registered. It was resolved that it be a recommendation to all cln6s that the regnUUon ball be used. FIXTURES. Matches were drawn as follows: April 25th —AUrangi v. Ngatoro, at Kew Plymouth; Stratford v. Whakatika, at Stratford; Hinemoa a bye. May 2nd—Hinemoa r. Atorangi, at Kew Plymonth; Ngatoro v. Whikatiki. at New Plymouth; Atarangi a bye. May 9th—Hinemoa v. Atarangi. at New Plymouth: Stratford v. Ngatoro, 1 at Stratford; Whakatika a bye. Mav 16th—Tliwnioa v. Whak.ni'-;.>. i »t New Plymouth; Str.itiord v. All- [ rang), at Stratford: Ngatoro a bye. i •May 23rd—Atarangi v. Whakatiki, at New Plymouth; Hinemoa v. Ngatoro, at Stratford; Stratford, a bye. The second round will be commenced on Saturday, 6th June, when the same order of fixture as in the first round will be observed, and the travelling team in the first round will play at home in the second. The appointment of referees was left to the home team. It was decided that in case the fixtures as drawn resulted in any two teams being tonal after the final match, the arrangements as to time, place, a.id referee for the play-off bo left in the bands of the management committe?.
