Tauranga, Ust Night, •the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph »ard) continued his country tour yesterday, when lie travelled from Kotorua to Tiiuranga by motor ear, visiting Te J nice en oute. At Te Puke he was entertained at luncheon in the local public hall, ami delivered a short address. j| ( . ;ii s „ R . w i W( [ a num her of deputations regarding local needs, and promised consideration to the requests preferred. After luncheon the Prime -Minister went on to Tauranga and was welcomed at u public reception in tin local hall. Subsequently lie received several deputations regarding local requirements, which included a. request that the claims of Tauranga should be favorably considered when the Government proposed to build more country railway lines. In the evening the Prime Minister addressed a crowded meeting in the Tauranga hall, and delivered a political speech, in which he reviewed the work of the past session. After the meeting the Prime Minister was enter-, lamed at supper at the Star Hotel. To. day Sir Joseph Ward goes through Tel;>ko, Malala, and Whakatauc to Onotiki. '
