FLOODS IN AUSTRALIA.
IN NEW SOUTH WALES. Sydney, March 19. The river Namoi at Gunnedah is higher than it has ever been known to be before. Weewa is eomple-tely -iirrninuleil It has had no communication with 'Mil places for three days. Many annulare being washed away. At Narabrl the main street is partially under water. All the Surrounding district ii inundated. IN QUEENSLAND. Brisbane. March I!'. The river is rising. At Koekamptijp and Bundaberg some of the wharves and low-lying portions of the towns are partially submerged. Many other places report floods. Damage has been done on the railway and the mail traffic ij badly disorganised. IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA. Adeladie, March 1!>. There are heavy rains and floods in the tor north. Much of the country iinnndatcd. * The manager of a station at N'ydria took refuge in a tree and remained there without food for two days and two nights, waiting till the' flood subsided.
