The Liberal papers suggest that the right of entry for denominational teaching would be an obstacle to the Bill's acceptance. THE LICENSING BILL. A crowded meeting, representing a bundled thousand brewery debenture holders,held in l-ondon ;ind presided over by Lords Rothschild and Faber, unani-. moualy condemned the Licensing Bill anot promoting temperance, but promoting the confiscation of properties acquired under the sanction of a State reliance and protection law. Lord Rothschild stated that the Bill would injure millions of insurance shareholders and policy-holders. Over the ox tension of the tim* limit to 21 yearthere would be no compromise.
