At tht annual meeting of tlie llawera Football Club on Saturday night, a communication was received from the chairman of the Management Conimittee ol the Xarauaki Rugby Union asking the club to circulate among the luemliers of the club subscription lists for the purpose of raising funds which the Union propose to utilise in perpetuating in some suitable maimer ilu ■in-oi-y of the late Air. Bayly, whose death has removed "the most notable figure in colonial football and certainly tiegreatest friend of the game ill Xarauaki." Mr. .1. Campbell, referring I:, the Union's letter, said a or banner, would +ie silllicient as far as the Union was concerned. If the llawera Club felt inclined to do anjthing it should be entirely apart from anything the Union might do. The annual meeting of the llawera Foullmll Club was held on Sattirdtv night.

The committee reported that the past year had been very successful, notwithstanding that all the llawera teams had been unsuccessful in their respective competitions. 'The senior team had put up a good tight for the championship, lieing equal with l'atea in thu southern subdivision at the cud of the final round, but were beaien in the play-oil'. The lirst and second juniors put up fair performances, and though not close enough at the finish to have a winning chance they played out all their matches. Financially the club had lieen very successful, commencing the year with a credit balam-c of .t;3.>, which at the end of the season was increased to JCb'ti as, representing a profit of £3l on the year's working.—The report was adopted. WAUIATXE CLUB.

The annual meeting o£ the Wuiruate Club was held on Saturday evening. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance at the commencement of the season of £35 (is lOd, receipt, £32 163, making a total of £0!) 2s Kid; and the expenses were £27 12s Hid, leaving a credit balance of £4ll Ills.

If was decided that the clubs should elect their own captains on the field.

Messrs. .1. Martin, D. O'Sullivau, J. Malcolm, and the secretary were ap. pointed to the selection committee. It was decided to enter a senior and a junior team.

The subscription was fixed at 3s. It was decided tlutt anyone donating IDs or more to the club'should be granted a free pass for the season's matches.
