TRANSVAAL NEW GOLD LAW.
"A MONUMENT OF STUPIDITY."
Received 17th, 12.27 p.m. Pretoria, March 10. Sir James Fitzpatrick, speaking at Pretoria, denounced the new gold law as a stupendous monument of stupidity. He urged the Government to make a sincere declaration as to whether it was favorable to separation, unification or federation.
