SUTTON'S DEVON EAVER RYE. IT IS PERENNIAL AND IT WILL NOT RUN OUT. There is nothing new about Sutton's Devon Eaver—it Is over 100 years old. As Rye-grass is the priueipal grass in all pastures for sheep or otitic, it is very important that the greatest eaution and care be exercised in securing seed which will prove perenniall and will not run out. Experience in England has proved that seed saved by Sutton's, from their old pastures m Devonshire, gives not only a grass which will last for all time, but one which has easily a greater feeding value than all others, 'xaetly tile same applies to this colony. The noted pastures in Poverty ■uaj and llawke's Bay were ail laid down in this seed more than fifty Jcais ago, and are as good to-day as they ever were; in fact, each year they improve. Also, there is no doubt whatever that the finest stands of "i tiU'anaUi are those very old pastures which' were sown down with this old Devonshire seed in the early days by the Missionaries. It has held better than, all the seeds sown and gathered in the colony. Although the best Colonial Rye, even from Mission Stations, may die out in time, the Devon Laver, brough here by the missionaries some fifty years ago, though sown m many different localities, remains in. the ground today; this applies also to the same seed brought out by Devonshire families nearly forty years ago. Indeed, although Taranaki Soil is very reluctant to accept Colonial and the ordinary imported Eye seed, it has shown a remarkable liking for Sutton's Devon Eaver. This is such a well-known fact amongst the more observant Taranaki farmers that wo are pressed on all sides to get supplies from Sutton's of this seed. We have sold out our first two shipments, and the third, comprising 20 tanks, has just arrived per Corinthic. A large quantity of this has been booked for all parts of Taranaki by our shrewdest farmers who realise tliata good sowing is as important as a good burn. The Eye all comes out in sealed tanks, thus preserving its vitality. P.S.—Don't confuse Sutton's Devon on Eaver Rye Grass Seed with other seed sold as imported English Perennial Rye—there is as great a diffeience as between sunshine and darkness. We guarantee satisfaction, and you have Sutton's name, which has been pre-eminent for 101 years, as a further warranty of satisfaction. REMEMBER—IT IS THE ONLY TRUE PERENNIAL RYE. 1 If you wish we can also supply a prime sample of Colonial Rye, weighing 321bs to the bushel, which cannot be beaten by any other Colonial Rye on the market. Wc also stock:—Cowgrass. White Clover, Alsike, Trefoil, Lotus Major, Italian Rye, Meadow Foxtail. Crested Dogstail, Poa Pretensis, Poa Trivial, Timothy Cocksfoot (prime, heavy, clean, Akaroa seed), and all oth«r seeds. "Write or wire us /or samples. E.
