SEW ZEALAND MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. Per Press Association. Wellington, Last .Night. A meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union was held to-night. In reference to the appeal of the Auckland Union against the decision of the management committee, the appeal committee reported that it was of opinion that any special challenge match under the Ranfurly Shield regulations are the property of the New Zealand Rugby Union. A protest was received from the liullcr Union against being deprived of a match with the British team. The Marlborough Union claimed that th € match against the Britishers b e played at Blenheim instead of Nelson. Jt wa-s decided to reply in both cases the arrangements that have been made cannot now l> e altered. The Otago Union suggested three test matches between -New Zealand and the British team. This matter wa= deferred for further consideration.
