REGULATION OF PATENT MEDICINES.
•» Melbourne, March 12. Representatives of the Proprietary Articles Section of the London Chamber Df Commerce interviewed the Federal Minister of Customs with reference to the proposed legislation dealing with patent medioineß. They urged that the disclosure of the formulae would completely ruin the trade with Australia. They admitted that there were numbers of undesirable articles. These the legislation should aim «t eliminating, but it should not destroy the good ones. Mr. Chapman promised careful consideration of these views. The legi-la-tion, he said, was intended to regulate, Dot to eradicate, the business.
