Julian has a large gang of men under him formiug una cuiverting the road, and it is expected that the road will he open through for horse and cattle traffic in about a month's time. Tlic track from the Kahui road mountain house to Bell's Falls is now about completed. A hut has been erected on Holly Flat (near Bell's FallsJ for the convenience of visitors, and should prove very popular. When our side of the mountain gets better known, I feel sur& it will attract lar more visitors than at present, as the scenery is magnificent, and there is also sour- historic, spots tliat are well worth exploring. •Jk'U'» Fall, are said lo lie Utter worth u \i-il than the celebrated Dawson falls. Subjoined are some of the distances troui the Kahui roa<l house: To Holly Flat house, 4 miles; to Bell's Falls, 4 miles 38 chains; to Egmont house, Smiles lio chains; to Stratford house. 10 miles 07 chains; to Dawson's ■Fall*, 12 miles 41 chains. A track is also contemplated from Kahui road house via Luke Dive to Dawson's Kalis, thus completely encircling the mountain.
