The weather was line and the attendance large. succeeded in annexing three. There was niHell disappointment over Trenibath not starting in the hall-mile race. The meeting between him and Barker over the distance, after Barker's defeat iu Hobart, was keenly anticipated. Barker was in great form. His time, 21see for 300 yards, is an Australasian and probably a world's record.
Treniluth made a runaway match the mile, winning easily. Orbcll won the high jump, clearing sft Tin. lie subsequently tried to clear sft ll'/jin with a view to beating tile Australian record, but his three attempts lail-.'d.
