NOMINATIONS, WEIGHTS, ACCEPTANCES, ETC. Nominations for events Nos. 1, 3, 4, 6, and 7 close with the secretary at his office on the 18th of March. Weights declared on 21st March. Acceptances and General Entries, SATURDAY, 27th March, at 8 p.m. The winner of. any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOtbß, of 2 or more such races 141bs. Horses handicapped at Sst 71bs or over half the above penalties. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the "Secretary, Manaia," with the name, age, color, and pedigree of *-he horse, name of owner, colors of rider, performances oi the home, and name%f trainer. Entries by wire must be confirmed in writing at the earliest opportunity. All races to be run under the rules of racing as adopted by the Racing Conference of New Zealand. Owners are particularly reminded that all entries must be accompanied by cash, cheque, or P.O. Order. This rule will re strictly enforced. Only members of the Bookmakers' Association or Tattersall's will be permitted to ply their calling on the course on the day of the races, and they will be charged a fee of fi guineas for this privilege.
