DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT
E. HriHilh. and Co.. dairy produce exporter-. New Plymouth, are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals. .Messrs Mills and Sparrow, London, dated 24th January. P. 108: Weather is very variable. The .southern counties are experiencing cold, damp logs, and in many cases traffic is delayed. Danish—The northern trade was not quite so fast, but there is no alteration in price. Buyers are. however. lighting very hard. SiU'iian -No fresh feature to report. As we mentioned in our last, 2000 to 3(10(1 cask- are expected, but these have been delayed and are not yet to hand. French—Xo alteration in prices, and the general position is unaltered. Australian —A good market for al! grades. The s.s. Moldavia commenced discharging as soon as berthed, but unfortunately the fogs which have prevailed have seriously interfered with business, and most of her cargo is not yet to hand, although it is practically all sold. Secondary butters are realising almost the same price as best. We fully anticipate an advance next week, as the market is very strong. I'nsalted which for some time was in excess of demand, is now selling better, and it would not surprise us to see it-iealise a slight premium over salted in the near future.
NVw Zealand—The Manwri's Imtter, are coming to hand in iine order., and are Hearing promptly at full market rale,. <Ve<e
.—New /(Miami: lluyers arc now ji|>pr<-< iii tiiifr the line ipiality of ivcent iirrivals, but stocks have not cleiircil as promptly as a<_'cnt- wisli. and. ill some cases, particularly on while, a lower price, than wlion v.c '.a<L wrote lit* been aeccpU-d. Canadian: Choicest quality is scarf'. the hoik IM-iiifr rather late miidc ill character.
