Sir,—Kindly allow me space to convey, on behalf or the members of the above bund, their thanks to the following persons who so kindly assisted to make the band's stay m your town the most enjoyable that we have ever experienced:—To His Worship the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr. and Mrs. DockriJl) and the lady assistants who kindly provided afternoon tea at the 4rd.'n party; to Messrs. F. Newell, J. Clarke and the members of the Contest Committee; the Borough Council for the use of the swimming baths, which are a credit to the town; the Fire Brigade Howling Club, and also to Mrs. Howell and the Misses Howell for the kind attention received at Chatswortli House 1 am sure that the members of tli« above band will always remember their visit to your town as one of the most pleasant that they have ever spent at a contest.—l am, etc.,
