ASIATIC PROBLEM.
New York. March 2. Mr. W. H. Taft Secretary for War, in a non-party address to a Brooklyn meeting, urged that Congress should take action to empower the President to compel the States to observe treaties made by the national Government. Vancouver, March 2. The proposed anti-Asiatic parade at Vancouver was abandoned to avaid riots.
