Tliis led to a rte^jJijjfll. nient, (iovernment and Opposition againlst Labor, and Labor ;ind tin. (,'overnment against the Opposition. Ail three nominees were negatived, and the Utilise adjourned till three o'clock to try and reacli a compromise. On re-assembling_. the (lovernment and Labor each submitted a nominee, and both wcr« again defeated by the former combination. The House meets again later. The London Central Board, representing l:i,00ll license-holders ,lias decided to open a campaign against the Licensing Mill, with a mass meeting in tile Queen's llall on the 10th. FRUSTRATED BANK ROBBERS. TELLER'S PLUCKY' CONDUCT. Received 3rd, 9.32 p.m. Ottawa, March I). Two masked robbers entered the Canadian Bank of Commerce at Winnipeg and tried to loot the bank. The teller i though seriously wounded himself, used his revolver, putting both robbers tr ligjit.
