INDIAN FRONTIER TROUBLE.
AN ARMISTICE GRANTED Calcutta, February 27. Central Willcox has assented to a two-days' armistice to facilitate tin' negotiations of the friendly tribe-, who are to induce the Zakka Khels to tome to an agreement. Zakka Khels are at Halwai in con•iderable numbers. Armed- Afghans. Bangs, and other tribesmen have joined the Zakka Khels. London, February 27. In the House of Commons, Mr. .John Motley, in reply to a question asked by Mr. J. E. Ellis, said the Government of India bad been instructed to take no steps leading in any way towards the permanent occupation of the Zakka Khel country. He added that the Imperial Government was adhering to the frontier policy of the pa*t decade. Thf general arguments against any reversal of this policy were particularly in the present case.
