ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. Christohurch, February 20. Mr. Merrett, who was injured in a motor car accident on Saturday nfcht. is still unconscious, and there is no appreciable change in his condition.
Taihape, February 20. An elderly man named H. Johns was killed in Taihape tunnel by the lale tram last night. His body was horribly mangled. It is supposed that lie m-h's walking through on Ms way bimir to Ins section when he was met bv the tram from the Wangauui sculling race' The body was discovered by the gan«cr tins morning. N ° ° .
