William-, and will probably 'contain one-third more witus than are to be found ill existing dictionaries, as many valuable collections not heretofore available will be incorporated. The library of the Society—which is constantly iia-re'iUiug in size, ami which has been deposited, by the kind permission of the borough authorities, in their otlices—will shortly be removed to the Technical School, where the committee has consented to find a home for it iu its lire-proof building. The expenditure of the Society during the last twelve mouths amounted to L U77 5s ml, and the receipts to £181) l!Js JIM. Nearly the whole of this has been expended in printing and publication.
