On conclusion of the shooting i1,,,e hearty cheers were given for Captain -Mills for the satisfactory manner in which arrangements were i-a tried out 'n connection with the competition, and Stratford District generously donated the stun <,f v.2 2s towards the funds of tic Association.
The lads were very well pleased with their treatment, one feature in particular impressing them—prize-money wis paid out right away. The management of the meeting has rehabilitated the Taranaki liille .Wornli"ii in the esteem of the Taranaki shooting men. The payment of prizemoney in full when only about twothirds was due under the rub's was particularly appreciated. It is eonfidcntlv exiiected that record entries will lie reivived for the ne\t meeting, and tint members of the rifle clubs and volunteer companies outside New Plymouth will take a more active part in the mana"c. moot.
