GENERAL STOESSEL'S SENTENCE. A CUARUK OF COWARDICE. Received 21st, 11.17 p.m. St. Petersburg, February 21. The Russian Court martial condemned General Stoessel to death, hut without the loss of his rights or honor, owing to the heroic defence made by the l"ort Arthur garrison and General Stoessel'a personal bravery. Thc Court will ask the Czir to commute the sentence to 10 years' imprisonment in a fortress. The court reprimanded General Fock and acquitted Generals Eeuss and Siminoff.

Received 211st, 9.17 p.m. London, February 21. The London Times says that the condemnation is deserved, as General Shiessel conspicuously failed in his duty and lacked the requisite indomitable moral courage.
