TARANAKI ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Council of the above Association \va- held at Waitara venterday, Mr. .1. Clark, per-ident. presiding. There w ere aNo present Mc>»rs. Stewart, Uarr. Hansen. .Jenning-. \V. H. Taylor, and Thonip-on (Secretary). All application was received from the Waitara Caledouian Society recommending the removal of the disqualification on I). Stockman.—Request acceded to.
The Council considered the various remits to be snbmitted at the annual meeting oi the Xew Zealand Athletic I nion lu be h-1,1 in Xew Plymouth on Wednesday and Thursday next. J. Malone having refunded the £2 won at Auroa List year, the di-ijualiti-catiou was lifted, and the money awarded to the other placed men in the race. It was decided that Bert Todd he su-pendcd until h e has refunded the prize money and medal won in th® maiden piping event, through the 'Association, and the prizes awarded to the second competitor, J. SlcKenzie. The reason was that he competed as a maiden, having previously won events. It was also alleged that Todd competed with adults, while still a juvenile, against the rules,
