AUCKLAND WOOL SALE. Per Preaa Association. Auckland, Last Night. ' The third wool sale of the season was held to-day. There were not many buyen present, probably owing to the pretest unsettled state of the wool market at Home. There were 918 bale* catalogued, against 577 for the same saie last year. The market opened weak in all sorta, and the proportion aold by the different broken was only about onethird of the total offerings. Prices for Inferior crossbred wools dropped, -is compared with last year, Id to I!4d. Good crossbred dropped \\&. Merino wool was Vid higher, but there was very little offering. Lamb's wool was about 'Ad to %d better. The highest price realised was fld for fine crossbred in one Instance, and for choice half-brc-1 in another. Last year similar wool brought HVjd. The top price for medium iro=lired was 7d, as compared with fl'/jd t» lO'/jd last year, loarpe crossbred sold at 5%d. as compared with o'/ ( d la-t year; lamb's W9OI at Bd, as compared pith l«'/,d; bellies and pieces at V'A. as compared with ~<',\i: and locks at Id to idi »» compared with B%d to l^d.
